What is Haryana Spray Pump Subsidy Yojana (Crop Diversification Programme)?

The Haryana Spray Pump Subsidy Yojana is launched under the Original Green Revolution (OGR) with RKVY support to reduce excessive paddy cultivation, conserve groundwater, and improve soil fertility. Under this scheme, farmers in high paddy-growing districts are encouraged to shift from water-intensive paddy to maize-मक्का, pulses-दालें (moong, urd, arhar), and agro-forestry (poplar-wheat inter-cropping). To motivate farmers, the government provides financial incentives per acre and subsidies on power spray pumps. If you want to apply online for Haryana Spray Pump Subsidy Yojana, you must meet all the eligibility criteria given below:

  • Must be a resident farmer of Haryana
  • Must have cultivable agricultural land
  • Land should be located in identified paddy-dominant districts which are Ambala, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Rohtak, Sonipat, Sirsa, and Yamunanagar.
  • Farmer must agree to diversify from paddy to maize, pulses, or agro-forestry
  • Must be registered on Meri Fasal Mera Byora
  • Must have a valid bank account linked with Aadhaar for DBT
  • Crop must be physically verified by the department.

  • Passport-size Photograph
  • Crop sowing details (entered online)

The scheme is implemented in high paddy-growing districts where paddy area exceeds 1.25 lakh acres, including:

Which crops are covered under this scheme?

The cropes covered under this scheme are Maize, Pulses (Moong, Urd, Arhar), and Agro-Forestry (Poplar-Wheat) inter-cropping.

How much subsidy is given to farmers?

The subsidiy given in as follows:
₹2,400 per acre for Maize
₹3,600 per acre for Pulses
₹2,000 per acre for Agro-Forestry
₹3,000 subsidy per Power Spray Pump-set

How will farmers get the incentive money?

The incentive amount will be transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) after physical verification of the crop. So, make so you have completed DBT process in the respected bank.

Who can apply for this scheme?

Farmers cultivating land in identified high paddy-growing districts of Haryana (Ambala, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Rohtak, Sonipat, Sirsa, and Yamunanagar) and willing to shift from paddy to approved crops can apply.
