The selection process for BSSC Laboratory Assistant includes the following three stages:

• Written Exam:
  • Preliminary Exam: If more than 40,000 applications are received than a preliminary exam will be held.
  • Main Exam: After Preliminary exam candidates have to clear the Mains Exam.

BSSC Laboratory Assistant – Exam Pattern 2025

The BSSC Laboratory Assistant exam will consist of following parameters:

• The prelims will have a total of 150 questions containing 4 marks each question.
• 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• The exam time will be of 2 hours.

BSSC Laboratory Assistant – Salary 2025

In addition to the basic pay, Laboratory Assistants receive Various allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and others are provided.
