CategoryAge
Minimum/Maximum AgeNot specified in the central DAV Recruitment notification

DAVCMC hasn’t published one common age limit centrally. Age criteria, where applicable, are set by the individual school/zone — check your specific advertisement. Note: Age relaxation applies as per government/DAV rules, where specified by the school/zone.

CategoryCBT Fee
All CandidatesRs. 300/-
  • No fee at the time of registration.
  • Rs. 300/- becomes payable only after your form is “VERIFIED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT” at a DAV Verification Centre.
  • You get 7 days from that point to pay online on the DAV Recruitment website.
  • Only paid candidates are permitted to sit for the CBT.
  • Schools may charge a separate, nominal handling fee at the Phase 3 (demo/interview) stage.

Not centrally confirmed for 2027-28, but this qualification pattern is consistent across recent DAV cycles and current job-alert coverage — a general guide only:

Post CategoryTypically Required (verify with your zone’s advertisement)
PRTGraduation with B.Ed. (or equivalent), generally with CTET/State TET
TGTGraduation in the relevant subject with B.Ed., generally with CTET/State TET
PGTPostgraduate degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed.

Non-Teaching (LDC/UDC/Assistant/Library/Lab Assistant/Nurse)Post-specific — graduation, relevant diploma, or subject degree (e.g. B.Sc. for Lab Assistant, B.Sc. Nursing/GNM for Nurse)
  • Some zones have added extra conditions in the past: a minimum percentage, CBSE/ICSE teaching experience, or a specific NCTE-recognised course.
  • None of this is guaranteed to apply this year.
  • Always confirm the exact qualification against your own school/zone’s advertisement before registering.

DAVCMC’s central website lists the posts/subjects under CBT 2027-28 but not the required qualification — that’s set by each school/zone’s own advertisement (16–22 September 2026). Posts covered:

No single central figure exists. Every DAV zone/school decides and advertises its own openings separately (16–22 September 2026), so the number and post-mix varies by state and school.

Post NameVacancy
Various Teaching & Non-Teaching PostsNot specified centrally; school/zone-wise vacancies apply

Check the zone-wise newspaper advertisement in Important Links, or the official list of DAV schools, to find exact open positions before registering.

Three distinct phases, each handled by a different body:

  1. Phase 1 – Registration & Verification (candidate + school): Online registration, document verification at a DAV Verification Centre, CBT fee payment.
  2. Phase 2 – CBT (DAVCMC): Exam centre preference, admit card issue, and the CBT itself, conducted by DAVCMC’s CBT Coordination Team.
  3. Phase 3 – Demo/Interview (individual schools): Schools with vacancies advertise separately for a demo and interview round among CBT-qualified candidates.
  • You choose your CBT exam centre online in November 2026 — first-come-first-served, so verify and pay early.
  • Results are expected within 15–20 days of the last CBT conducted.
  • Qualified candidates can then download a Provisional Eligibility Card (PEC).
  • The PEC is not a job offer — it only makes you eligible for a school’s Phase 3 demo/interview round.
  • Final employment depends on clearing that demo/interview.

The pattern shown on the official website is last year’s; DAVCMC says 2027-28’s pattern may change and will be notified in November 2026. Based on what’s published now, CBT 2027-28 is one 90-minute, two-paper computer-based test, held back-to-back:

No common salary or pay-scale figure is published for CBT 2027-28. Clearing the CBT only makes you eligible for the Phase 3 demo/interview — actual pay is set by the individual DAV school that selects you. We’ll update this section once official pay information is released.

Step-by-step guide to apply for DAV School Staff Recruitment 2026

  1. Check your state/school’s advertisement: Confirm vacant posts and exact qualifications via the newspaper ad (16–22 September) or the zone-wise link in Important Links.
  2. Register on the DAV Recruitment website: Use your own RMN and email ID — needed again for verification, admit card and PEC.
  3. Submit as “Form Ready for Verification”: Before 08 October 2026. Still editable at this point.
  4. Visit a DAV Verification Centre: Print the form and bring original testimonials, 25 September–16 October 2026.
  5. Get “Verified and Approved for Payment”: Form locks; payment option activates.
  6. Pay the CBT fee within 7 days: Rs. 300/- online. Required to sit for the CBT.
  7. Choose your exam centre and download the admit card: November 2026, first-come-first-served.

Remember:

  • One post per candidate — duplicate applications won’t be accepted.
  • You can’t appear at a centre where you, your spouse, or a relative works.
  • Keep your registered mobile number and email ID unchanged — verification, admit card, and PEC all depend on them matching.

Is the DAV CBT registration form final once I submit it as “Form Ready for Verification”?

No. It stays editable until verification. It’s finally locked only when a DAV Verification Centre marks it “Verified and Approved for Payment” (25 Sep–16 Oct 2026).

When do I actually pay the DAV CBT fee?

Only after your form is “Verified and Approved for Payment.” You then have 7 days to pay Rs. 300/- online. Unpaid candidates cannot sit for the CBT.

How do I know which DAV posts are vacant in my area?

Check your zone’s newspaper advertisement (16–22 September 2026) — DAVCMC does not publish one central vacancy list.

Is there negative marking in the DAV CBT exam?

No, under the pattern currently published. DAVCMC may revise this for 2027-28 and will notify the update in November 2026.

What documents do I need to carry to the DAV CBT exam centre?

A printed admit card, one recent passport photo, and an original photo ID matching your admit card. Electronics, stationery and bags aren’t allowed inside.

What happens after I qualify the DAV CBT?

You can download a Provisional Eligibility Card (PEC), usually within 15–20 days of the last CBT. It only makes you eligible for a school’s Phase 3 demo/interview — not a job offer.

Where can I check the exact educational qualification for a DAV post?

In your school/zone’s own newspaper advertisement (16–22 September 2026) — DAVCMC’s central site lists only posts, not qualifications.
