Punjab & Haryana High Court Clerk Vacancy Details 2026

The Chandigarh High Court Clerk selection process 2026 includes the following stages:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
  • Medical Examination
  • Document Verification.
  • Final Merit List.
  • Exam Duration: 120 minutes (2 Hours ).
  • Marking Scheme: There will be negative marking of 1/4th for every wrong answer on objective questions.
  • Exam Language: The exam will be in English, Hindi and Punjabi language.
  • Qualifying Marks: 50 marks for General/EWS category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC categories.

Candidates who qualify the CBT exam will be called for Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). The number of candidates appear in the CPT exam will be decided later by the High Court. The exam will be qualifying in nature.

The CPT exam will be conducted in two parts, Part 1 & Part 2.

  • Part 1: It will be a Spread Sheet Test which will be of 10 marks and of 10 minutes. Candidates will need to score minimum of 4 marks to qualify in the test.
  • Part 2: It will be a English Typing Speed Test. Candidates will have to attain a minimum of 30 W.P.M. speed in the typing test. Typing Speed calculation fofmula is : (No. of words typed – mistake) / 10.
