The UGC NET Exam will be conducted in two shifts on 18-12-2025. Shift 1 will be from 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Shift will be from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM. The exam will cover five subjects which are Chemical Sciences, Earth/Atmospheric/Ocean/Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The candidates will have to choose one subject for the exam. Here is the complete exam pattern:

  • Exam Mode: CBT (Computer Based Test). Multiple choice questions will be asked in both papers.
  • Exam Duration: Exam duration for every exam is 3 Hours.
  • Marking Scheme: There is no negative marking in this exam.
  • Exam Language: The exam will be bilingual (English and Hindi language).
